Writers, photographers, videographers and bloggers across the Midwest, we'd love to hear from you and share your adventures in regional travel, culture, food and the great outdoors.

A couple ground rules first:

  • Submissions must be complete stories, including both words and photos.

  • Please include the words "Midwestival Submission" somewhere in the email subject line.

  • Tell us a little about yourself! We like meeting new people!

  • The Midwestival isn't a personal blog, so please keep that in mind with topics and tone.

  • Images must be at least 1500 pixels wide. Large files don't travel well by email (and sometimes end up in spam filters), so please share larger image files via a file share program where they won't get stuck in the black hole of the Internet.

  • The Midwestival is a labor of love. We create for the sake of creating, and that means we don't have a budget to pay contributors. However, occasionally we pass on sponsored travel opportunities and other perks to our regular contributors.
